1. Tell us a bit about the history of Charles C Brandt Construction, and how you got to where you are today.

Charles C. Brandt Construction Co. (CCB for short), is a leading general contractor – operating continuously for over 112 years – servicing the office, industrial, retail, luxury residential, and specialty construction sectors in Indiana and throughout the Midwest.

We believe the key to bringing our clients value is implementing our process – the Blueprint for Success™. This approach is utilized on every possible project to ensure we’re building your vision, while bringing you the most value for every construction dollar you spend.

2. Describe Charles C. Brandt’s expertise, the services you provide and how Indy REAL members can best engage with you.

Over the last 10+ years, almost half of CCB’s business has been office remodels in free-standing or multi-tenant buildings. The remainder is divided among industrial, retail, restaurant, and specialty assignments. The size of the project isn’t critical – we’re at our best when involved early where we can apply our experience. CCB has completed large assignments at Indiana Convention Center, Anthem HQ, OneAmerica Tower, and Indianapolis International Airport. Likewise, we’ve worked on strip center façade replacements, restaurant remodels, and individual tenant white boxes.

Our crews are built and trained specifically to minimize disruption in open-occupied environments.

Our project managers are experienced in a wide variety of construction types, each having over a decade of industry experience. CCB’s in-house superintendents, on average, possess over 15 years of experience and are thoroughly familiar with multiple trades. We self-perform selective demolition, concrete, carpentry & millwork, acoustical ceilings, and other specialties. This enables us to effectively control timelines and the quality of work.

1. Tell us a bit about the history of Braden and how you got to where you are today.

 Braden Business Systems celebrated 30 years in business in 2019. The company was founded by Dave Braden in 1989 with the fax machine technology of the day and has continued to grow significantly due to the dedication of our team members that ensure that our clients and partners consistently receive the best copier/print products and service for their specific business needs, exceeding all expectations.

We have also expanded our solutions along the way to match the ever-changing needs of clients. In addition to office equipment, we added a Managed IT division within Braden several years ago which helps businesses with the full range of their technology needs such as: cyber security, vCIO services, phones & internet, and more.

 Braden is an office technology expert. We provide copiers, printers, scanners, production & wide-format printers and a host of other office technology. Braden can also provide your business with an updated document management system including software, apps, & managed print services. Lastly, we offer a full line of Managed IT Services. We understand that office technology is not one-size fits all and we have the knowledge to recommend unique solutions to help businesses improve and optimize their processes.

Specific benefits to Indy REAL members would be the knowledge to help you and your clients identify the timing around technology decisions when moving into (or building) a new space. Not only have we done that ourselves, but we work with clients who regularly go through this process. We want to help educate as to when in the real estate process all facets of tenants’ technology should be considered and the various factors come into play. From when the phone/internet lines should be designed to when you need to decide space requirements for your equipment, what types of technology hardware and software will be needed to get your business running smoothly from the start.

 We wanted to build a strategic alliance with the best and brightest up-and-coming real estate professionals in our community.  We wanted to support them any way we could and in return have their support to help us, help their tenants/clients/prospects with technology needs.

Having been through the experience of constructing a new building/office and helping thousands of businesses through these move and build scenarios, we now know when technology decisions should be made in the timeline of events to avoid costly pitfalls and avoid major roadblocks. While we regularly help clients in this area, we hope to provide Indy REAL members and their clients with proactive knowledge, so they feel confident from the beginning to the end of a move or new build.
